Dear colleagues, our medical partners, friends and well-wishers of Dermatology, I am particularly happy to welcome you to our 15th annual general meeting and scientific conference
ZOOM virtual/ Sandralia hotel,Jabi,Abuja on June

- Covid - 19 implications and impact on qualitative dermatological care in Nigeria
- Ageing skin - what can be done
- Community Dermatology reaching the unreached
- Innovation and challenges in Dermatological care in Nigeria
It is of great honor to the Abuja LOC to have the privilege of hosting this conference despite all the challenges and lifestyle changes we all have to go through daily due to the Covid 19 pandemic. Times have changed, these are interesting times, presentations as we knew them have taken a different shape, the usual physical interactions that are particularly important to any meeting, especially the chance to discuss and exchange ideas have been greatly diminished or completely stopped. This is the first time we are having a hybrid conference, meaning we will concurrently have a virtual presence of participants in different locations and also have a small number of participants present at the venue of the event, experience gained has proved that we can have a successful and fruitful meeting. Our young residents will still have the opportunity to learn from the annual pre-conference workshop.
Considering the global trend, the theme and sub-theme selected aptly reflect the status of Dermatological care in our environment. It is our hope that we will at the end of this meeting be able to come up with ideas and ways to overcome our peculiar challenges. The discussion and ways to improve, implement and maximize the concept of teledermatology should not be underestimated.
COVID-19 pandemic has provided us with the opportunity to explore and improvise on methods and ways that we didn't know existed, it is my fervent prayer that God gives us the ability to see and utilize these opportunities.
Once more, I welcome you all to this great occasion, may we get the best out of it, I wish you a pleasant and safe stay (those physically present)and a safe trip back home.
